NOVALEIGH

ADOPTED! Meet Novaleigh:  She is a new Australian Cattle Dog mix puppy from the local pound we are helping, and sadly, while innocently playing with her puppy toys, she jumped up, landed wrong on the tile and broke her back leg.  The vet said it is a delicate area of a growing pup and it does happen, although rare.  It would be like a chunk of our knee breaking off and free floating around.  She has been the best patient, behaving and staying happy through all the x-rays and multiple examinations and medications.

Please consider donating to help with her treatment.

She went to surgery today, 11/11/11 and is doing great,  It is an expensive surgery, and with a discount, it was over $1200 and so we are asking all of our wonderful supporters to donate to Novaleigh’s care.  We are all volunteers and receive no funding from the government, only from our fundraising efforts. Please give generously if you are able to.

Donate!
Novaleigh will be available for adoption when she is all healed and you couldn’t ask for a better puppy disposition!

MASON

ADOPTED! Meet Mason: He is a ‘will be beautiful’ red nose, red and white color pit bull. We took Mason in from a local pound after he was off his stray hold and we could see he was very thin and in need of some help with his skin and nasty looking rash on his private areas. OUCH! He wiggled and wiggled his happy self, until one of our volunteers fell in love with him. We love helping the dogs who have no chance of making it out alive from the pound, but we need your help to continue to do this labor of love for dogs like Mason. Mason is slightly heartworm positive, lyme’s positive and currently being treated for both and will be completely healed and as good as new. He’ll be ready for neuter very soon.

ANGEL

ADOPTED!!!!!

Meet Angel: She is one of the saddest puppy cases we’ve seen in a while. Angel, 4-5 month old shepherd mix, was found stray by a local AC Dept. with her sister, just barely surviving, she was so very thin. Her sister, who was larger than Angel, was adopted right out of the pound to a loving family. When a foster home opened up and we met Angel, we knew she needed extra TLC and we would be more than happy to provide it. Upon taking Angel to our vet, we found she was suffering from a few different types of worms and obviously wasn’t getting regular, healthy meals. Those 2 factors contributed to what you see in her before pictures. Now, only 3 short weeks into helping Angel, she isn’t even thin looking any longer. What wonderful things some proper veterinary care and 3 square meals will do. She is transformed and now has a chance to be a treasured member of someone’s family. Angel has received all of her tests and vaccinations and will be spayed and micro chipped soon. If you’d like to help us with the expense of getting Angel ready for adoption, please considering donating to her care.

SHYLA

ADOPTED! Meet Shyla: We met Shyla after her stray hold was up in the pound. She was elusive and trapped by AC near the Railroad tracks off Quaker Rd. She had some skin issues/infection and needed to be shaved twice and different medicines for a few weeks, but now she’s 100% healed and looking gorgeous. She’s a wonderful, easy going girl. She is in foster care with children and other dogs and she does well with everyone. Shyla is trained on the electric fence.

Please consider donating to help with her treatment.

We would appreciate any donations towards her care because we would like to continue to be able to help dogs like Shyla, who need more money and care to get them ready for adoption, rather than just vaccines and spaying.

DAVY

Davy is one lucky hound boy – he’s in a foster home and is doing great.  He was living/starving near an abandoned house and a trailer park when a few good citizens noticed him and decided to help. They set up a feeding place and everyday went to bond with this formerly shy fellow.  Well after a few months, their patience paid off.  He is safe with us now, enjoying rubs and pets (and regular meals).  Davy had to go to the vet to have an ear infection cleared up, and then again to get his dental issues fixed.  He is all ready to meet his new adoptive family with a bright smile.  If you are able, please donate to help offset the expense of his ear and dental treatments.  Our adoption fee barely covers the basic vet care required to get a pet ready for adoption, so any help from donations will keep us going to be able to help the ‘next Davy’ with issues over the basics.  He is house and leash trained and will make somebody an awesome new pet.

JOEY

Meet Joey: Joey is a male bloodhound mix who was found in a sewage drain behind a local gas station.  It was 2 days before a utility worker was able to coax him out of there.  He started out a little skittish around strange things and noises but he is getting much better about that.  He is now a fun-loving puppy, very friendly and playful, blossoming more everyday.Joey is working on is crate training, house training and leash walking, since he’s still a puppy.  Joey is also working on not jumping up on people especially since he looks like he will be a very big dog.

CUERVO

Cuervo is very obedient and knows basic commands, he likes to play with other medium or large sized dogs, romping, chasing and loves to fetch, then he lays on the area rug for a nice long nap. He will not get up on your furniture. He is crate trained, but doesn’t need to be crated, we’ve been leaving the door open and he goes in and out when he feels like it. He doesn’t bother with things around the house, but he finds it entertaining to run off with a fresh piece of laundry if given the opportunity, but he gives it up when asked. He’d love a home which has another playful large to medium size dog to pal around with. 125lbs, American Bulldog, (5 yrs old, house trained, m/n, current vaccines, and micro chipped).

LUCY

17 pound beagle mix. Lucy is very sweet and as loving as she can be. She loves to follow you around. She came to us from the pound where she was picked up stray, skinny, dirty and scared.  Lucy has blossomed in body and spirit.  She has put all needed weight on and very much enjoys zooming around her foster family’s back yard with the other dogs and children.  She’s 2-3 yrs old, crate trained, spayed, current on vaccines, and micro-chipped.  Lucy loves kids and dogs and would love a family of her own to adore and be adored.
