AUGUSTA

Augusta is a sweet, calm adult white kitty who we rescued from the pound after her stray hold period was up. We knew she needed extra attention and had the perfect foster home for her. She has been professionally groomed and is on Revolution for her flea/tick prevention. She is doing well in her foster home and is thriving.
She has an odd looking ear which has been thoroughly examined by a vet – it is fine, just outward damage to the ear. Augusta is current on rabies, flea/tick treatment, and is negative for FIV/Felk.
If you want years of unconditional love, please adopt affectionate Augusta. Turn her sweet face from sad to glad.

DOLLY

Dolly has come down with a condition which is suspected to be masticatory myositis, an auto-immune disease that affects her jaw muscles. She is on a course of steroids to see if there’s any improvement. She can only open her mouth about an inch. She can still bark, eat and drink, but long term we do not know if she will ever improve. Please consider sponsoring Dolly’s veterinary diagnosis and care or monthly needs, no amount is too small; we suspect she will be in foster care with us long term. You may donate online at https://newkenthumane.org These are Dolly’s intake pictures. She looks much cuter, shinier and friendly now. She has blossomed into a very friendly and playful dog. Dolly is a darling, waggy tailed, 15 pound beagle. She is in a caring foster home and she is looking for a home to call her own. She is current on vaccines and is spayed/micro chipped and is ready for her new home. Please e-mail thenry@newkenthumane.org

MATTIE

Mattie is a 4 year old, 50 pound, female tri-color Coonhound. Mattie has traveled a long, difficult road in her short life. She was found thin and stray near the James City County line and spent time waiting in the pound for a home. When she was overlooked time and again by potential adopters, space and time ran out for Mattie, we received the blessing of an open foster home and went there to save her. At the vets, we discovered Mattie had Lyme’s, Ehrlichia, and moderate heart worms, which we are currently in the process of healing. Mattie is the sweetest soul you could ever ask to meet. She fit right in at her foster home with the other dogs and small children. She is so happy to be receiving love and a warm snuggly place to lay her head at night, such simple things, yet things she’s never had before.

Please consider donating to help with her treatment to her with Mattie’s expenses of battling Lyme’s, Ehrlichia and heartworms.
